Corinne Allen

Hello and welcome to Heart Science Counseling.

I am Corinne Allen, LCSW, Licensed School Social Worker. I am so glad you are here.

I was born and raised in Santa Clarita, California. After living briefly in many different places (Australia, Hawaii, Japan, and San Francisco, to name a few), I married a native Oregonian and have spent over a decade living in both the eastern and western parts of this beautiful state.

I am the mother of three energetic boys and the wife of an EMT.

When I’m not working, I love to read, drink iced coffees, spend time in nature, and write. I also might like a little Netflix here and there.

Experience

I have worked with individuals and groups ranging in ages from 6 - adult and in a variety of settings, including:

  • In-patient drug/alcohol rehabilitation

  • Schools

  • Work with individuals without homes, or at risk of losing their homes

  • After-school club, providing individual and group therapy to children

  • Providing education and mentorship to groups of pre-teens, teens, and young adults in a nonprofit setting

Education

I have a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University, 2015.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Portland State University, 2018, with a focus on clinical social work.

I became a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) in 2019, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2022.

I am also a licensed and currently practicing School Social Worker.
